The launch of Windows 10
Microsoft launched the public version of Windows 10 I.e.Version 1507, on 01 August 2015 with the promise of the ”best Windows ever”. Most users acquired Windows 10 as a free upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, or through the purchase of a new computer. following the launch came several updates. In most cases, Windows 10 automatically downloads and installs the updates to make sure your device is secure and up to date.
These updates aim to install the latest features and security updates in your device, helping your device run efficiently and to stay protected. But sadly, at our end, we hardly find the updates do what they claim. With every new update, we face troubled, stressed and panic struck clients who do not know what to do with the sudden issues their devices are facing.
The previous versions too came with their issues, but those were much less compared to this version. The major reason behind this being the fact that in the previous versions one could turn off, postpone or had the discretion which updates or “patches” to install or not. But in the case of Windows 10, the updates are automatic. The Professional version allows degree user control, but sadly the more common Home version allows nothing.

Make sure your device has the requires space, or else the update will not be complete and you will face several issues.
- Disable the already installed anti-virus software: one of the hacks to install and smoothly run Windows 10 is to disable your already present anti-virus. Windows 10 comes with its own anti-virus updates. For this reason, your pre-installed anti-virus often hinders the update.
- Install the Windows 10 April 2018 Update via USB: if nothing else works install your windows 10 via an external DVD or USB with at least 5GB free disk space. Some customers have reported facing booting issues after the update. In such cases, you need to re-update using a USB.
- Go for professional version: there can be cases where your update is done and that has led to several issues. In such cases we recommend you to go for the professional version of Windows 10. This will give you better control of the updates and help you manage your device more efficiently.
- Chrome crashing: In case your Google chrome keeps crashing after updating to windows 10, we advise inputting the following Windows key shortcut to wake the screen: Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B.
